In this thread you can post smaller, more general suggestions for the site.

If a suggestion gets enough posts about it to warrant its own topic, then one will be created.

Sorry if this isn't the place to ask questions as well, so correct me if needed.

I was just wondering if this is basically the "new" LFF? Like, will TWGs, Mercs, etc. be held here? I can also imagine there will be differences?

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Oh course there'd be a whole section for questions that I just glanced over until now. I can delete this post if you'd like.

I mean, it's really fair game since it's a question about the site.

I'm glad you asked this so it can be cleared up.

This is not a "new" or "replacement" LLF; it really has nothing to do with LLF at all, these are just forums for Stardust Fields. There's no connection to LLF, despite the fact that most of us visit there as well.

Well, you couldn't have picked a cooler Superstar Saga location!~ (Well, cooler "looking" I guess. I hate Tolstar. -_-)

And thanks a bunch for clearing that up.

Hehe, thanks. How can you hate Tolstar, though? He's pretty cool.

I do have a suggestion for the forums, actually:

I think it'd be really cool if we had our own Roleplaying Board of sorts. We could have Mario RPs, or any other kind of roleplay that people might be interested in. Limiting it to Mario RPs would probably be less interesting, though, which is why roleplays of all kinds would be allowed. People would have to get characters approved by other members, which would make it harder for less fully-formed characters to ruin RPs for others.

Any questions about how this might work, or what the rules & regulations might be?

It's a good idea, but the ability of the traffic we have to warrant something like that is questionable.

But when it does happen, at least for starters it would be limited to Mario-only. I find non-Mario RPs to be a lot less interesting and followable, especially as it pertains to this site. Great suggestion!

Um, hi. I used to frequent Lemmy's Land a while back before it "died" (only had one minor thing posted—a poll, I believe) and found this site through lurking on the Lemmy's Land Forums. This may be the only thing I post on here, but I don't want to see this site end up like Lemmy's Land when it has so much promise, thus I have a suggestion that hopefully will help prevent that.

Basically, one of the reasons Lemmy had so much trouble keeping Lemmy's Land updated after so many years of doing it was that it was too much work for one person to find enough time to maintain the site. That also seems to be the problem Shadow Yoshi is having with updating Stardust Fields on a regular basis.

I would suggest that there be some form of rotating staff. Like, one person takes care of updating one week, another the next, and so on and so forth. Now, if it isn't feasible to give access to updating the site itself to multiple people, perhaps a shared email address for submissions would be possible (or, if even that wouldn't work, stuff could always be forwarded). Additionally, there could be a review process which could be as simple as a different staff member than the one who originally posted the work reading over it and if it doesn't check out due to quality, contact the author of the submission with suggestions to improve their work.

You bring up some great points. By the way, welcome to the forums!

The only problem, at this time, with having more staff is that there really isn't anyone here yet. Sure, Sage and MarioMan67 post some but other than that this place is inactive. I attribute that to the level of publicity, the size of the site, and the amount of time I have to maintain it. I'm working on all of those three, I've just had a busy life lately and will for 5-6 more weeks. I plan to expand the staff team once I have a bigger community.

I also advise you to stay on the site! It's always great to have a new member.

I have a suggestion, although it is for the site and not the forums. You should add music onto the pages.
