I'll add more sections once the site gets more activity.

That was what I pointed out: there's not much of a good way to attract attention when Fan Fiction .net is around the corner. That's why I suggested having more distinct sections.

I see where you're coming from.

I'm just kinda busy with some other stuff right now - my motivation for this site is seriously lacking.

I was thinking... It would be nice to have a way to filter fun fics based on various criteria. For example, they could be sorted by date originally submitted, date last updated, format (i.e. script or not), status (completed or not), number of views, genre, and rating (of their quality, that is—not content).

(Also, I know it's already been suggested, but I second having the sections in the sidebar.)

The FF pages right now are just static HTML - to add sorting functions, I'd have to recode a lot of it.

Having the sections in the sidebar is doable.

This site is, unfortunately, not at the top of my priority list right now. Fansites like SF are more or less a dead art, which is really a shame because I think they're one of the most vibrant parts of video game culture.

Yeah it is a shame as this site as well as the forum does have a lot of potential. Most fan sites created nowadays unfortunately do not last very long and are not as popular as they used to be. How times change...

I understand (and kinda figured as much). Just thought I would toss an idea out there.

For sure, I'm always open to ideas.

I added Fun Fiction to the sidebar, under a pseudo-new category called "Media". I know Media isn't the best thing to describe Fun Fiction (and that the new link doesn't follow the same format as the pages led to by the other links in the sidebar), but I wanted it under a new category and already had "Media" in the code for the website. The full design actually has 5 categories, but the middle 3 were commented out when the site was launched because I didn't have material to fill any of the pages. You can see the categories by viewing the source of any page that has the sidebar.

I like how the forums have been a bit active recently. That's nice.

It's too bad fansites have been mostly replaced by social media. I have one of my own, a Regular Show one, but that wasn't really popular.

Some of those Tumblr sites are actually pretty good. But then again I only go to Steven Universe-related tumblr sites.

I have to agree. Message boards and fansites in general are not as popular as they were ten years ago. The internet has evolved so much in the past few years that is not even recognisable as it was back then.

Anyway, if this forum gets any more activity or more people posting, I suggest an RPG section for people to take part in. Maybe a Games section also for forum games.
